Privacy Policy

This policy covers this website ("we", "us", "our"). It explains what information is collected when you use our Malaysian income tax and PCB calculators, what is not collected, and how we handle cookies, analytics, advertising and affiliate links. We handle personal data in line with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), as amended in 2024.

The calculators were built so that they never need to keep your data. We do not store, track, or transmit your financial data, salary information, or tax relief inputs to any external database. Figures you enter are sent securely to our calculation service, processed in-memory for a single response, and immediately discarded. We keep no record of your income, reliefs, family details or results, and we cannot recover them after your session ends. We never ask for your name, IC/MyKad number, tax reference number or any other identifying information to use the calculator.

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site fast and understand how it is used:

• Essential cookies: required for basic site performance and security.
• Analytics cookies: we use anonymised analytics (such as Google Analytics) to measure aggregate traffic, popular pages and general usage patterns. These reports never include the figures you type into the calculator.

You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings; the calculator will continue to work without them.

This site does not currently display third-party advertising. In future we may introduce advertising served by Google AdSense or other ad networks to keep the calculator free. When advertising is active, the following will apply:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of the advertising cookie enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at www.aboutads.info.

Some pages, particularly our Tax Guides, may in future contain affiliate links to financial products such as credit cards, insurance or broadband plans. If you click an affiliate link and sign up or make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships will never influence our tax calculations or the factual content of our guides, and affiliate placements are always clearly labelled.

Clicking these links takes you to third-party websites that operate under their own privacy policies and terms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external sites, and we encourage you to read their policies before submitting any personal information.

All traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Because we do not retain your financial inputs, there is no stored calculator data that could be exposed, sold or shared.

This site is a general-audience tax tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add new features or advertising partners. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date above will always reflect the current version.
